The poll conducted by the British pro-peace organization Yachad, found that two-thirds of the respondents feel a "sense of despair” when Israel presses ahead with its settlement activities in the West Bank and East Jerusalem/al-Quds.
Meanwhile, over half of the respondents also said Israel will be seen as an apartheid state if it tries to retain control over borders that contain more Arabs than Jews.
Some 73 percent said Israel’s current approach towards the so-called peace talks with the Palestinians is damaging its standing in the world.
The poll also showed that about a third of the Jews slammed Israel for the war in Gaza in 2014 saying Israel’s response was disproportionate. During the war in Gaza more than 2,000 Palestinians lost their lives most of them women and children.
In the UK, more than 300 academics have already shown their support for the boycott of Israel.
